If you fancy a day out and want to visit somewhere a bit different, then why not try the beautifully restored house and gardens of natural history pioneer Gilbert White. Then travel the natural world through the collections of Frank Oates, explorer and naturalist and Lawrence Oates who was part of the fateful Terra Nova expedition to the South Pole. There is also a café and village shop with great coffee and homemade cakes.
